Greetings Covenanters!

Obviously this is not "must reading" for our alliance. Hopefully it is edifying though. Rather than post the article, I'll include the link here.
The article is simple and friendly. It is not directly related to gifts of the Holy Spirit, but more appropriately the work of the Holy Spirit in regard to salvation. It is not anti nor pro charismatic. It is distinctly trinitarian, so if you are not then realize that you will not agree with all the assertions made. If you are, regardless of your theological or denominational bent, this article should be edifying.

Finally, the purpose of sharing this is not to generate debate. Discussion is appropriate if it is amiable, respectable, courteous and loving. The main purpose of sharing this article is because, from a Christian perspective, it should be edifying. I hope that you enjoy it and are strengthened in your walk with Christ Jesus as a result.
